I have two gobies. one smaller and thinner than the other larger stockier one. The smaller of the two just 'crapped' out a whole pile of little white balls which floated around for a while then stuck to a rock, im 100% sure it isnt poo. in the 5 minutes the goby gave birth, they both ate the eggs. dammit.... couldnt get a photo... Is is unheard of from BB gobies to breed in the aquarium?? Would the eggs have been unfertilised and nothing to get excited about???

OMG this is getting pretty annoying. Picking up two F8s in a few days but I cant find ANY DEFINATIVE information. Everything i find contradicts the last thing...... Are they strictly freshwater or brackish?? I want to set up a heavily planted 40L for 2 F8s with 2 sprakling gouramis, 2 ottos and 2 pygmy corys. Would they live happily in a freshwater planted? Would the other fish and plants mind a little bit of salt??(not brackish) thanks

Yes there was but they told us after we got our outfits. It was: Diamonds and Ice so I didnt really fit with the theme but nobody did.

The main reason why saltwater and african cichlids are so amazingly colorful is becuase there is a huge amount of competition on the reef and in the African rift lakes. The ridiculous color is used as a signal. Freshwater fish dont face this competition to such an intense level.

This has probably been asked beofre but I want to know everything I need to before I put this wood in my tank. Well I went for a trip to wenderholm beach and came back with some nice rooty pale driftwood. My main question is: Can I use this driftwood and what things do I need to do to ensure this wood is 100% safe? This wood was taken from the highest point on a rocky beach. TIA
