    Hi

    Welcome
  2. I'd go with Anubias and Java Fern. Anything else will be just like salad...
  3. Wash your mouth out man!! 8)
  4. Ah duh, did it too quick just after I got up... Yeah, forgot about a bunch of things, namely the height on the corners and the non-square diagonal  That's the problem with doing it in your head rather than working it out on paper...
  5. It's 1.46 x 0.64 x 0.62 - 0.32 x 0.32 = 0.476928 cubic meters = 476.928L (not allowing for glass thickness). You really need to use the internal dimensions.
  6. I think it also comes down to not being able to tell the different types apart when they are small... Anyway, the Gambusia have been stopped and a few of us have learned something about unwanted organisms so all is good.
  7. This is the biggest problem we face. The public has no idea what is and isn't allowed in most cases. The information is available but you have to check it first. As there has been almost no public education to the problem of unwanted organisms in NZ most people do not know about them. Then, when you do go looking for the information it is very very difficult to find...
  8. Trademe notified, - auction should be withdrawn soon.
  9. Registrations for Conference 2007 have now closed. I got a few in the mail today and have been contacted by a few people who have sent their forms today also. Anyone else wishing to register had better move quick as there is only one motel room available and it will be released from our group booking on Thursday 17th if nobody else registers. Registrations received after today will also earn a speacial booby prize some time over the conference weekend. The Conference 2007 Webpage as been updated to reflect this and the full itinerary will be posted up in a couple of days as well. Itineraries and receipts will be sent out to everyone coming to conference at this time also.
  10. The drawing is a bit rough. If I get time I could do a proper CAD drawing of the circuit and post it. As some 230V connections are required only qualified people should actually attempt to make the circuit...
  11. Fax sent. It only covers running the fan but a 12V airpump needs only be connected to the same place as the fan in the circuit to get air as well. Not sure if you can get 12V airpumps...
  12. Back now so I'll get onto it. PM me your fax number so I can send you a sketch.
  13. I'll update the Conference page in the next day or so. The details are still being hammered out due to the rather late start... Almost everything is now finallised and once I have final confirmation on the last outstanding issues the web page will be updated with a full itinerary.
  14. PM me next week. I'm away with work all weekend in Auckland. I can help you out with some of this at a really good price (like $20 for battery and fan)!! You'll still need a fan and relay etc but i can help you with that as well. Will be able to work on it for you when I get back.
  15. This topic has been cleaned. The next person to make a personal attack or reactionary post will receive a lovely one month ban. Keep on-topic and a cool head.
  16. The only one I've seen costs about $120 and doesn't work very well. The alignment of the top and bottom parts keeps shifting so one or both sides of the staple bend over on the wrong side of the paper... I modified it to stop the movement and now it's ok. At the back where the top and bottom parts are riveted together I drilled out the rivets and replaced them with high-tensile allen bolts. Stopped all the movement. I also had to re-align the bottom plate where the staple bends over but can't remember what I did to fix it. Works well now.
  17. Sorry, no facilities for credit cards.
  18. Hey, no need to worry, we sorted this all out the other day...
  19. Please check the guidelines regarding Trademe Links. They can be added to a post as you originally did as long as it's not your own personal Trademe auction you are promoting. Questions about someone elses auction can be asked and links to an auction of interest are allowed. The guidelines have been ammended to reflect this. The only change is personal Trademe auction links must now go into the Trademe Links area...
