  1. I guess I would need to run co2 due to the high light intensity? My main concern is turning the room into a sauna and possible fire risk I came across this auction on Trademe, search number "369051247" Is this brand any good?
  2. Goldfish Bowl is rated pretty high on my list, it may not be a big flashy looking store but it certainly sells good stuff and at the best prices (if you haven't been lately there are a few new tanks) World of Water is good if you go after their monthly order arrives (otherwise there plants and better fish are sold out)
  3. Your not a real man until you own a Holden !drool: p.s only fords need to dress up there cars with those stupid stripes and things on the hood etc
  4. Let me know how u go with the MH, my tank is going in sometime after easter and I'm still looking for good lighting. If you could let me know what there like in terms of: -Heat generated -Power usage -Overall light output / even coverage
  5. I have an Eheim 2080 thats a few weeks old and I must say its not as quite as people make it out to be, I guess that depends on peoples interpretation of quite and how old are they  It isn't as loud as my aquaone 2400 but then again its output is about 800L p/h less.
  6. Or you could just start with a petshop. . . . . ............................................................................................................................... It would cheap as chips to get a new one from a petshop that makes tanks
  7. I was there on friday, not that many plants left at the moment
  8. Saline water is neutral, whether it alters hardness i don't know.. Theres heaps on info on wikipedia if you want to look up hardness etc
  9. soft water is usually neutral - acidic. The term soft means there is a lack or lower concentration of minerals like calcium and magnesium for example. Bog wood and peat are commonly used to soften water. Reverse osmosis also creates soft water.
