I'm 99.9% sure its a worm of some sort, the eye itself is crystal clear so the worm stands out.
I'll have a talk to my lfs and see what they'd recommend for external parasites
I did a quick search but couldn't find anything specific so I'll ask here.
I noticed a white shimmer on one of my German Rams and after closer inspection I can see a little white worm like parasite coiled up on its right eye, is this an eye fluke? if so what can i use to get rid of it and can i add it to the main tank?? (has plants)
If it only requires a short bath in the medicine I can arrange a container etc but if it has to be exposed to the medicine for a few days I would rather add it to the main tank if possible.
p.s
This is the first time I've seen this and I haven't noticed anything else on the other fishes
I remove all the connections so it should be open, the only problem is that there isn't a handle to assist with pulling it off. I'll try lubing the seals a little bit more (they were already lubed when i bought it)
I got an aqua one 2400 for $300 brand new :happy2: Only one issue, they didn't make it easy to get the top off it, you have to use a screwdriver and dig it into the plastic to lever it off
You will need to do a water change if the oily film on the surface is pretty thick, also creating a current on the surface will stop it coming back.
I'm guessing its brown algae, how often do u change the water?
Do u have plants?
