  1. Pseudotropheus Demasoni & Electric yellow are a good combo Blue dolphin Get Big 20cm so a big tank is needed. The above are from lake Malawi PH 8 Frontosa are from lake Tanganyika they too get very big almost to 30cm PH 8- up 9.2 Convict are very aggressive when breeding, personally would not keep them in with the Rift lake cichlids :-? I Keep Africans From Tanganyika, Malawi and Victoria all in the same tank, with out problems :roll: But then again, they grow up together. :lol: Apistogramma hongsloi Not to sure think they have a lower PH ? Just my opinion

  3. Hi I am no expert but the second fish don't look like a peacock! look a bit more like a Electric blue Hap ? But I could be wrong
  4. Found this tiny lot swimming with the Lemon Jake's fry this morning, about ten of them. :bounce: Wow we are thrilled There should be around 20 in total in there at the moment all different sizes ! Not the best pic's It's to early to focus.

  7. Don't have a great picture as the light in there is to bright, making it difficult to get a good pic Its a 5f tank filled from one end to the other and all along the back towards the centre with Lime stone and corral rock! Great hiding space for the young !

  9. He could be setting up territory or sorting out a site for spawning is he moving sand around ?
  10. Been an African Cichlid the females holds the eggs in there mouths up to 21 days or so then she will release them.
  11. Hi all Thought we would share some pictures of the fry. They come out of the rock for a bit of tank inspection there were 8 in total plus some more hiding not sure how many there are all together ! Seem to be doing well !
  12. Hi all Has any one ever come across this before? Lombardoi Cichlid Fry! A friend of ours, brought this over this morning to show us. :-? He was stunned when he striped his female, and then found these two together! Any thoughts

  15. Yes they are doing very well, there should be well over a dozen fry , cannot be sure ,they hide in the corral
