lol. i put it on there hoping someone would know something about it. it was my great great great aunties & she would of had it for a long time before it was given to me, ive had it for aleast 10 years. its painted on some kind of material like silk.

well its not a happy out come yet, my account has been credited with some of the amount but its still short about $60 odd & the guy was meant to ring me & chat about it but hasn't. & i dont really want a credit of nearly $300 at the garage :roll:

i was there along time trying to sort it out, i paid it because i needed my car!! anyway there is a happy ending, the other guy rang to say he had made a mistake & they would be refunding the extra! now i'll just wait to get it.................. but i will never again accept a verbal quote, even if its through someone i usually deal with.

i was quoted $1100 to get my car fixed, went to pick it up & the bill came to $1374.26!!! The guy that had given me the verbal quote was just filling in for the normal guy while he was away & now its my word against his!!important life lesson - GET A WRITTEN QUOTE!!!! even if its with someone you deal with all the time!!

i put some oats in a little bit of water & left them for a day after someone said to me not to feed oats to my rabbits because they swell up. after soaking for a day the was no swelling but the water had gone very milky. so i guess you should soak them to soften them up & stop your tank clouding over.

thanks for all your suggestions, they all seem to be worth looking into. rcd is not funny, having lost a mum & her kits to it awhile ago i know first hand what it can do. would be the same if someone let some virus loose that wiped out peoples fish.

its for the central districts rabbit & cavy club so if we can get the gala day off the ground it will be a mini rabbit show for pet rabbits etc. not alot of people even know there are rabbit shows so drumming up support for the club will be interesting..to say the least!

yeah were going to need some sponsors, anything we do that costs money needs to come out of our own pockets first so there are limitations.

Ive just joined a club that needs to boost its bank balance & so far we have the idea of a gala day with the usual things for kids & we have been told to approach mitre 10 to do a sausage sizzle. does anyone have any other bright ideas???

we got the kids a 14ft one from the red shed for christmas & its great, we dont have the side nets but its that big they dont need them. so far its held up to a fair bit of use.

they dont have very much at wetpets lately, just the usually fish. i only have 2 tanks plus a fry tank at the mo if thats good enough!

forgot to mention the pet courier runs this week & the cost is $30 to send him in the north island.

the ones ive rung about are crap, its just about how you could start your own business not that they actually have work for you.

you need to make sure they all have a cave or hiding place of their own once they grow abit. they enjoy each others company when little but get annoyed with each other when they get bigger. ive found they dont go to the surface for food like suggested in some sites & they can fit enough in their mouths in one sitting to last them several days. keep an eye out for whitespot, which is hard to see on them but if you keep them in a big enough tank & clean water with plenty of room to themselves they will grow in no time.

it seems to be alot worse than it was when i was at school. My kids changed schools about 6 weeks ago because of the rubbish going on at their old school, i was in the headmasters office ever week & there was always an answer for everything, " it was an accident" even tho id seen what happened, " im sorry but the boy dosen't speak english & wont understand if i try telling him he can beat other kids with sticks" after my son had a boy trying to strangle him he was told " your not allowed in the office go out side & play" this was ongoing for both of my kids & nothing was ever done, it was at the point of my son crying that he didnt want to go to school & wetting his bed at night. He wasn't being picked on its just they way the school is. Ive spoken to so many other parents moving their kids to other schools, 1 was even selling their house so they could be in a different school zone. 1 had her son beaten up & he had to go to the doctor & when she asked what was going to happen to the 3 boys that had done it she was told " its not your business." The crap kids have to put up with now is unreal & i can see the teen suicide rate only going up.

anyone have any tips on how to create a website & what software you've used etc??

i have a feeling it was brought onto my place by a lady & her 2 kids, my own fault, i should have asked her more questions. some people just lie anyway tho.

you generally wont know your rabbit has it untill its dead, they are at the bottom of the food chain & will do there best to act normal untill they are completely stuffed. they dont have sores or other noticeable signs, the maf webite is good for the basics but other than that its completely out of date.

just rabbits, but cats can help spread it.

if you have pet rabbits please have them vaccinated, there is rcd in the manawatu that is wiping out alot of rabbits, pets & wild ones.
