hypotheticaly, have you got a straight edge to place against the front of the tank to see if the panel is bowed? & hypotheticaly, how thick is the glass?

i looked for *scratches head with one eye closed & half face palm* but was unable to locate one. due diligence may prevent any serious bidders in this case.

i believe sensible opinions of the small tank with e yellows not being suitable is lost now firenzenz. as for making the conditions suitable for them in their apartment, in my experience ph is not a major factor in their well being or breeding abilty as long as it is in the 7's or higher & is stable. i had mine in around 7.3 or so IIRC & they did very well, i have arogonite with shell pieces as a substrate which raised the tap ph slightly. i am currently on tank water, concrete tanks with a ph of around 7 which raises to around 7.2 or so in the tank with the substrate & the tangs also do well. as long as the ph is stable & not too far from their wild requirements they will adjust, if you start messing with it & it swings you are going to have big issues.

i would suggest you stick to dwarfs until you have a larger tank.

yes, adjust it down to 26 to see if it is working properly. i find it odd it's strugling with keeping the temp.

what size is the tank?

from memory the 100w is suited for 150L tanks. is your tank in a very cold room?

i doubt it will be 300 watts, those heaters are almost 2 feet long & will easily keep that size tank up tp the max temp. they are rated for up to 1000L tank. it should have the litreage & wattage on the top of the heater. can you take a picture?

how many watts is the heater? the "25-300" doesn't make much sense to me. i would recomend a 150 watt jager which will be plenty for that size tank.

yeah that's a good way of putting it. are they that size all through life & are they slowish getting around?

so i am guessing that is how all BT's legs are? they look really small & kinda weird to me
