    Hello

    Welcome to the forums
  10. Glad your little finned critters are all well
  11. How do you find your goldfish at this temp? I would have thought it would cause some sort of stress?
  12. Yeah definately if the pump is running the form of filtration then definately a no no to turn it off, and yeah I myself have had the same thing happen a while back ryan on a grow out tank... I didn't have my spray bar running however, but I had the out take sitting so it hit the water surface, so it broke the surface, but it slipped off what I had it on and it went beneath and I came home to pretty unhappy chappies, naughty naughty, visually kicked my own butt for that one..
  13. Just a quick question, what is the temp of the tank?
  14. I say don't give up! Keep at it, if we didn't have challenges with keeping fish and breeding then it would soon become boring.. Sorry I can't answer your questions in regards to breeding discus, as I don't breed them myself, but there are rather a few out there that have had great success with their pairs... Good Luck anyway

    Uaru

  Hmm yes I have seen Lion King, I have a 3 year old and hes big cat mad  And yeap the Uaru are very nice, nice enough to get away with plant munching if you are not overly mad on plants Not cute enough to be residing in my planted tank tho.. even tho there are two nice little ones at hubbys work at the moment Out of interest, what plants were they chowing down on snookie? Might tell hubby to give theirs a bit of a snack.
  17. I am not big on bettas.. love them but never kept many in the past, I take it you have your males seperated as in a tank with dividers? Or seperate tanks of their own? I know that a tank with heavily densed plant matter that floats is great for bettas... gives them a bit of privacy and could cut down on the aggression amongst the females if you are planning to keep them together, ie indian floating fern is a good one to have.. Others that are betta crazy will have more info to offer I am sure
  18. Welcome to the forums I just replied to your previous post, and now know it is bettas you are referring to

  20. Firstly welcome.. The most important thing to start with is, what species of fish are you keeping, referring to?

    Uaru

Yeap I remember them well Alan and they are beauts, they had offspring with them at the time I saw them, aswell as some nice large cories I am pretty sure on the tank bottom, beautiful fish and a real asset

Uaru remind of a mix between discus and severum, they are a lovely fish, I saw the ones that Alan now has and they are stunners! There are also two at hubbys work, however, don't have the room for another tank
