  1. I managed to get some sort of photo of where the anemone is hiding. You can just make out the maroon clown and close to him is the anemone very blurred but thats the best I could get. I gave it a little bit of scollop the other day and it didn't spit it out, so should be healing nicely. I will get some live earthworm this week (like wasp suggested)and see if it likes that.
  2. Didnt want to encroach on the hawkfish post so started this new one. This photo is for lynda The mushroom in pic is about 5" across, should give you an idea how big my cleaner shrimp is, overdue for another shedding of shell.

    Naso Tangs

Hey everyone We seem to be drifting into who is right and who is wrong about the size the fish can get!

    Naso Tangs

The sizes on the Marinecentre website is the size you can buy not the size they can eventually get. http://www.wetwebmedia.com/naso.htm didnt realise there were that many different species of naso and wow the size of them in the wild 36" and more. Different story though for the ones that can be kept in captivity
  5. If you saw my shrimp very large would probly be a good description
  6. I'm very tempted to get one from wonderworld, shouldn't bother my shrimp they are getting huge now (bodies are probly a good 2 inches or more)
  7. Caryl has the right idea as her sig THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Never hold your farts in. They travel up your spine into your brain and that's where shitty ideas come from. The main reason females never have shitty ideas

    Naso Tangs

I was wondering who left the speed marks on the carpet in the fishroom On a serious note: they probly look a bit better now, it took 2 days for these to arrive via the courier. I'm amazed they survived, they are looking very healthy and alert now.
  9.  This one looks like it has Mohawk hairdo http://www.marinecenter.com/fish/hawkfish/falcohawk/
  10. They are fantastic fish, I love watching them hop arround everywhere when I go to Wonderworld (rotorua) There colour is so vibrant and eye catching :bounce:

    Naso Tangs

I am looking at adding a Naso Tang to my current tank. I am interested in some feed back from either previous owners/ current owners of this paticular fish. I know they can get rather big, I have considered this and once it gets that size the big tank will be up and running. I currently have a yellow sailfin tang in the tank and there may be a bit of socialising to do with them both. Any help much appreciated Eve
  14. The landscaping for your rock looks absolutely fantastic It reminds me of similar pics I have see from japanese themed tanks. They don't have any rock touching the sides, back or front. The fish have complete freedom of movement when swimming through the tank.
  15. This person on trademe really should just withdraw her auction. relist just the fish, then relist the empty tank. She obviously knows nothing about marine aquariums.

  19. Thanks Wasp I might give that a go
  20. My Anemone is still alive :bounce: :bounce: it is stuck to the glass in the rear corner of the tank, gets some light where it is and the clown is by its side 24/7  Problem is I dont get to see the clown much  except for feed time or when i'm cleaning the glass (it has a thing for the glass cleaner if you get too close to the Anemone). The Anemone is a fraction of the size it was, I assume it is still doing the healing thing as it has discarded the bits that got damaged. Does anyone have any ideas on how to speed up the healing process or should I just leave it and see what happens.
  21. Very good :bounce:
