  4. I'm going to be in Tauranga on Monday and was wondering if anyone knows which pet shops in that area have marine fish in stock. There are so many in the yellow pages

   Yes the expense logger is scary stuff if you actually kept a full record of all money you spent on the tank (except the power bill) how many people would be surprised at the $ spent.

I downloaded it last night to see how it runs, installed no problem and I run windows XP Professional. I know my partner uses Windows 2000. Did you run the setup wizard after you installed the software otherwise you might get problems.

My partner uses this software to keep track of everything http://www.infinitysoft.net/ReefCon/ I use a 1B8 school book, bit of a hassles having to rule up the lines.
  14. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: very cool pictures I enjoy seeing all the pics cause it gives me ideas on what I may add to the tank.
  15. I use the Sony DSCF828 with the close up lens. I was going to buy the Canon 350, but i'm A Sony fan and don't want to have to pay big dollars for the canon lens. This year is the first time I have got more seriously into taking photos, so I am still learning. So far the picture taking has been hit or miss  As I work in retail I am looking forward to trying out the new Sony digital SLR cameras when they arrive in the country. Here is the camera review website that I find very informative for anyone buying a camera. There is also a forum area for questions and answers. http://www.dpreview.com/ Here is the link for photographing corals http://www.ximinasphotography.com/lesso ... g%20Corals
  16.  It is so much fun to watch clowns playing in Anemones. I remember when I got my first pair of clowns and didn't have an anemone. They would just swim in one spot and looked a bit lost  When I got an anemone for them, they didnt even wait for it to be in the tank fully they launched into as I was placing the rock that came with it. Same thing happened with my maroon and its anemone (didnt come with a rock this time) as I was trying to find a nice rock for it.
  17. Very cool photo westy1 I remember when my cleaner shrimps were tiny little things and everyday I checked to see if they had been eaten
  18. That tank and the tank room are one of the best I have seen so far over the last 5 months from viewing over the internet. The auascaping he has done seems to be the trend more and more people are turning too from the photos I have seen online aswell. Definately a reef central Tank of the month.
  19. That Tang is beautitul (salilfin with dots) :bounce: :bounce:
  20. I always have a good laugh during feed time with my shrimp  They leap off the rock with their legs and the little white feelers infront moving so fast but the shrimp is hardly going anywhere  They also love stealing the food out of my mushrooms  I have seen them stash food into the crevices in the rock and still come back for more food  Hence I watch how much i feed them now
  21. Yeh Mind you, you look at what stuff gets sold on trademe, ones man rubbish is another mans treasure :bounce: :bounce:
  22. Have you also noticed that some have been relisted more than twice. I'm still a real newbie with marine set ups, but isn't it easier to sell everything seperate than in one lump package. Especially if it is a big setup and there are a lot of living creatures in your marine zoo. Just imagine the logistics with moving everything all at once The one thing that really scares me is if the new owner has never had a reef tank before and hasn't done any background checking on what is involved with maintaining and the cost involved.
