Hey Billaney I always thought a marine tank would only ever be a dream. Than I said to myself oneday, just do it! :bounce: :bounce: glad I did now. I have the 850, when it was fish only we used the existing filter that came in the hood plus we also used the Jebo 819 cannnister filter, plus we added a pump to create water movement in the tank. The fluoro lighting was changed from the stock standard that came with the tank. A few rocks and sand in bottom and thats it. I so desperately wanted an anemone for the clowns. So changes had to be made. The complete top that came with the tank (filter and lighting) was removed. We now have a hanging Aqua one MG 1000 mixture halide and fluoro (gave up waiting for my partner to make one) The jebo 819 cannister filter, pump for water movement. I dont used a skimmer or a sump, those will be used when the big tank gets under way.

:lol: :lol: :lol: I can just imagine it. I was cleaning the glass today and the maroon decided it was going to chase the cleaning magnet when I got close enough. It is also the only fish in the tank that will take food from my fingers.

:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: He the newest addition to my tank and my most favourite fish. My partner laughs when I just sit there and watch the maroon playing, I don't seem to hear anything going on arround me. That is until I get some scrunched up paper thrown at me :evil: . I will have to find him/her a playmate and a bigger anemone sometime in the near future.

You look at the different breeds of cats and dogs you can buy these days all it takes is a certain crossing of different colours and sometimes even a different breed and you get a new colour/breed. I would love to have a guided tour through Orafarm and see the process of tank breeding. Anything is better than depleting the ocean of the natural wonders we take for granted.

Thanks We moved the tank closer to the lounge suite, so now I can sit in comfort and admire the whole tank. Bit Dangerous though having such a comfortable lounge suite and tank close by, as I occassionally forget about dinner cooking :oops: Ohwell there is always takeaways close by when I totally forget to even cook

I had my eye on one of the hammer corals aswell, it was wonderful to watch the transformation from closed to open while I was standing there deciding wich one to buy. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I live in a rental aswell, when I got the tank I made sure there was enough clearance under the stand for airmovement. When a spill does occur I can get the wet and dry vac out and clean it up and I also have a dehumidifier that has a carpet drying function. We also go through a few towels :lol:

Yeh I did They have some fantastic corals instock right now
