If I had the time and space I would re do it in a three foot tank, have a lower water level and emersed and submersed crypts on a riverbank type thing along the length of the tank. When I look at the little fish it looks very Loach-like with the pinched nose and whiskers (yes, I know they are not whiskers) and flat nosed like it's parents.

Can you give us a few water test results, ph and the temp of the water as well? Tank size filtratration? Where do you get your water from - I only ask because in some areas when it rains a lot and there is a chance of seepage into the water system the council will add chemicals into the water.

When I clean out my 104 I find that if I top it up too much with the hoses off but the lid on, water gets into the aquastop bit, and then looks like it is leaking.
