I only have a small sump system running five sub 15l tanks, I started off with a Resun King2, but it died after about a year. I stripped it down, but could not see anything that would impede the flow, such as the usual snails :evil: Because I did not have a spare at the time and none of the LFS stock Laguna or Eheim I had to buy another pond pump - cannot remember the name - it is starting to get rattly and annoying. I have a second hand Eheim that I am tempted to put replace it with, but the flow rate may be a bit too much for my little tanks.

Nice pics and tank! Don't you just hate it when you provide rocks and they go and lay on the substrate! And what are you fish doing awake at that hour of the morning?

By the sounds of it Gatio's puffs aren't getting much teeth grinding practice anyway if they are just nibbling on the snail and not the shell!

I seem to recall reading somewhere that you feed them snails the same size as their eye - or is this not correct?

Cover the airpump as well as KP said, a friend lost his goldfish when they flea'd the house by forgetting to turn it off. One of ours has filter fluff on the intake, you do not want to get the chemicals on that then sucked into your tanks.

As Ryan says, albinos should have red/pink eyes. The one you have in the photo tend to get called Blonde or Gold. I have had a couple of albinos and they tend not to be quite so yellow in the body. In saying that, I have seen a male fully coloured with a red and black mosaic tail with red eyes - that was a few years ago now.

That would probably not be in our best interests to do so. I don't even look at forums or sale sites that require a login before I even get to see what is there. Unfortunately there are other means of gathering info on who or where people are, such as TradeMe sales that allow pickups from the seller's homes.

That's not good, adodge... :evil: Someone does not have to be a forum member to see most of the posts on this site.

One of the guys who works at the Aquarium said that it was the most driftwood he has seen along the beach for a long time. I will have to go and have another rummage, I got a few bits of nice dark stuff the other day, gave the biggest one to Jim r.
