The fern is known as a Maidenhair Fern - Adiantum raddianum The other two look like Gloxinia. Do they have trumpet shaped flowers, usually purple or pink?

The marine tanks were designed by someone who had no knowledge about these sorts of things, and despite the protestations of the staff, built them too deep for any corals and inverts to be able to live in them.

The offending fish... As a reference the outside ring of my camera that you can see in the reflection on the glass is 56mm, so the fish is approx 90mm long. Will have to take the camera with the circular polariser tomorrow.

Killies in a planted tank would look nice, there are a few NZKA members down south. There is a nice pair of Fundulopanchax sjostedti - King killies - in the killie auction up here this weekend.

How come a fish can make it past one tee joint in a 3/4 inch pipe overflow system but not the other? Consequently I now have a large puddle on the floor where some of my tanks have overflowed and a dead dageti...
