  1. E.yellows need a different pH etc though. Kribs are a rift lake cichlid, but prefer lower a lower pH than most africans
  2. 30 kribs! in a week that will be 300, another week 3000, another we...... you get it That will be a pretty sweet tank man! Alot of fish will go with kribs, a long as theres enough hiding places. Some huge schools of tetras would look awesome in with them. Pencilfish also do well with them i have found
  3. Bristleworms. Were both the clams that got slaughtered in the rocks?
  4. Yea, brine shrimp will make them grow FAST! can't beat it.
  5. Once you get a 3 footer going then move all your fish from your 2 footer into it, then use the two footer and the 30L tanks for grow outs
  6. 25 fighters, in two 30L tanks.... :-? You need more room dude
  7. Leave the male in with them. Turn off the filter and put a sponge filter in. even if it isn't cycled. I hope you are going to have room to grow out hundreds of fighters
  8. Reef, i don't think dosing vodka works in a freshwater tank. Correct me if i'm wrong
  9. Are they breeding? Looks like what they do
  10. The link is above, in that same post  see the edit Indeed they are, well done au bei
  11. They will be stressed, so i doubt they will bully each other
  12. I agree that less is more, and i love tanks that have heaps of space for corals to grow and heaps of swimming room for the fish. I don't think that removing 20-30% of your rock will make any difference, but don't take my word for it.
  13. $650, for one frog, and it still hasn;t met reserve. WTF is up with some people!
  14. I've always used 400mg/100L and it works first time, every time. You do however, as has been said, need to fix the cause.
  15. was just watching some other RC car vids on you-tube, and some of them are insane! one had a twin rota rotary!! Freakin insane stuff!!! I want one  Wouldn't mind doing some RC drifting, but got too many fish to look after lol. Been looking on trademe, and you can get a reasonable car for $300. EDIT: heres the vid Look at the back tyres expanding with the force!!!
  16. So why not just have no sand, then you don't need the little worms that add bioload to your tank to turn it over for you
  17. It would be awesome for your tank, but i highly doubt that your lfs could beat Deepblue's price
  18. mmm, scary times! but, people say they have them outside over winter, and even have ice covering the top of the water so surely they will be fine! good luck :-?
  19. Sounds like you are off to an awesome start, and know exactly what you are doing. Agree with barrie though about the pebbles, just do it barebottom and use a peat pot for spawning. Hatching bbs is a very good idea, as all killies, big and small absolutely love it!!
  20. Yep that would be fine, and is only $250. reef octopus is an alright brand (this is speaking not from experience) but you do need to get one that is rated for a tank volume much over yours to get good results
