That was what we were hopeing for but sadly not the case.
I am very glad I got more than a couple though (had to get 8 or it was a no-go) I expected to lose a few along the way, unfortunatly 1 died today. So current count is 7 female albinos, no males - fingers crossed.
I've found, read, and printed out that entire article (along with many others) however I can't find anything that gets very detailed about line breeding :-?
Well, as some of you already know, I have been able to get my hands on 8 female Albino guppies. (I have however been unsuccessful at getting any males) These are the best photos that I can get from a downward angle into breeding nets (their temporary homes while I sort out my breeding corner) with a pxt cell phone.
This is 7 of my 8 girls.
And another pic of them in case that one didn't work.
This is my largest female and the male I'm trying to outcross with.
And another pic of the same to give you a better look at the male.
And this is my nearly set up breeding corner. (Platty breeding tank at the back with light on.)
Will update here as to how I go.

I've read a few American articles that call the symptoms some people have described “Clamping diseaseâ€. Where the fish start swimming around the top, stop being able to use their fins then die. Sorry for any confusion.
I haven't had this issue... yet. But it seems to me like there is more than one thing being described:
1) The “clamping diseaseâ€.
2) Genetic weakness.
3) Damage caused by environmental pressures.
a) Females not being separated out and having large broods of fry when they are too small to handle it.
b) Changes in conditions: Filter changes, fluctuations in water quality, filter changes.
c) Stress
This is another article that may help some people: http://www.ifga.org/articles/care4.htm
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't give up!! You have to keep trying!!! I'll by some off you late next year when I go down to CHCH to visit my Mum. You will have it sorted by then.
lol heck, I'll sell HEALTHY, not deformed guppies at $1 each  I need to clear out most of what I have before I can start breeding for colour...
Either that or get a new Boyfriend... I've already gotten away with 4 tanks in the livingroom but I think 5 would be breaking point.
I want to start breeding for colour but have no virgins, how long will I have to keep the females I want to use seperated?
Same question for Platties if anybody knows.
