Hi. Willing to post to auckland? I have a new tank and looking to increase ph from 7.5 to 8 for cichlids. 200 tank. No livestock atm. Any idea how much I would need? Newbie to cichlids Thanks! -

Hi guys, i read the thread on moving house below so i know the general info. The move is from remuera to mt wellington i got this big Oscar in my 450L tank and a few tank mates, i know this is going to be a mission but any suggestions, any help would be cool. I will need to acquire some big containers for them to move in. where is the best place to get this from, anyone can lend me one ??

also i wanted to know what the main difference between corals and live rocks are. don't corals grow off live rocks? so if i had a fowlr wouldn't the corals grow on them anyway since they use similar conditions? i think iam missing something major here :-?

i have the ich problem on my loaches, how does the salt help?

ive seen these white spots on them, (got 4) and i treated them 4 days ago. and yesterday. since then one has died, 2 are missing (1 Large one (5-6cm?) and 1 v small).. are they known to jump out of the tank? because i cant find them anywhere.. Ive treated them once again. doesn't seem to be progressing... could this be something else apart form itch? Only the clown loaches have been affected.. my BGK and gourami are fine and normal.

Hi, I currently have a oscar(lrg), large pleco(lrg), jack dempsy (med) and 3 brassilens (med) in a 500L tank.. all currently peacefull I saw a jaguar for sale at lfs, looks really cool 8).. they said its a 50/50 chance if the fight or not. What do you guys recommended? hes about 15cm in the shop going for $50. Do u guys think i should get him as a tank mate?

i got a small GKF from hollywood fish farm on sunday, about 5cm $40! Woo costs alot. gona leave him in the small tank till he gets bigger, are the fast growers?

would a black ghost knife fish be cool considering there are many spaces to hide in a 450L tank ? currently i have 1 adult oscar and 1 bristlenose catfish (med-large), had them for maybe 6-8 months nw.
