Ive got a tank of 170cm L x 52cm H x 50cm for free ! But the bottom sheet of glass had a crack on it, which was about 62cm by 30cm going diagionally on the top corner of it, The bottom sheet of glass is 10mm thick. I rang the repair shop and they said $160 to fix the whole bottom sheet in, too much for me so i asked them how much it would cost to replace with the sheet i provided, that was $60+gst. Thats better for me, so now iam in the hunt for a sheet of glassof atleast 10mm thickness, any recommendations? Or are there other methods of fixing this crack? (I was told that a sheet of glass over the crack well stuck would fix but i am not sure as i asked the repair shop and they said it wouldnt work. Any help would be great ! I want like one so i know that its time to change water and conditions are not good for the fish. would that work? I want to get clown loaches in the future, would the snail be fine with this?

where would i be able to buy these? i live in auckland so any ideas?

new to snails, did a search .. hmm Just wondering If there is a snail out there that will show me when water change is needed! Like say they stay mid and in water if fine, but leave out of water if unsuitable for fish as well. Would like to have one only thou, dont wont it to multiply and such, what you guys think is the best one? Note i also have a catfish in my tank Thanks

Any idea where you can custom make some covers (top) for the tank? I got a standard tank 75L , 38H , 30W (rectangle), I want to put the tubes in here also. Any thing would help Thanks

Iam thinking of using rocks from the beach to decorate my tank, Planning to collect, then clean, dry it out for a week (kil all bacteria and stuff) then use them in tank, would that affect the tanks water or anything in anyway? since the rocks are from the beach/bay. Also i went to the petshop and asked if i they recommend a underground filter, they said they dont use it so i souldnt , what do you guys recommend? Iam a begginer go easy pls is it also absolute necessary to have a cover on top of the tank? I have a 85L tank, Fish - 2 Tiger Barbs - 2 Guramis Due to poor begining my 2 loaches and neons + silver dollars died. its suggested that u clean it once every year
