hi, its got the squares on one side only which can be removed but the tint is throught out the glass itself, should this be ok?

New to the sump scene so here goes ! I have a big tank 450L and was wondering if i should add a sump before setting it up, I read about the sumps in the internet but stil have a few questions. Will I need to do water changes and clean gravel if i add a sump in a tropical tank? Or is the sump connected to the undergravel filter and cleans the dirt for me? What is the best simple design? What does a protien skimmer do? Does the sump work 24/7? Where in the sump do i keep the heater? Can i run one sump for multiple tanks (with my quarantine tank and other tanks)? How much would it cost about to do the whole setup? Where do i purchase the items for the fittings? can u pls clarify by what u mean on the inside and outside? my base glass is cruently cracked, so i want to replace the base glass, would it work with this type of glass?

Is it ok to use obscure glass? I have a 1700mm x 50mm x 52mm With a 10mm Base glass Iam looking to purchase a sheet of glass for this that can be cut but its obscure, can it be used ?? also any tips on how to glue the tank myself? never done this before so dont know anything about it. Thanks

yes but ur surface area is 240x67 = 16080cm2 mines 170x50 = 8500cm2 16080-8500 = 7580cm2 8500/16080 = 52.86%, your bottoms surface area is 52.86% bigger So might a 70kg bag do ? iam not sure, just made some stuff up to compare sizes lol

also how much weight can a wood house hold? ,as iam not sure iam going to go under my basement(well notreally as its jsut the ground) and place big supports , shud this work fine? iam gona put like a big plank of wood on the ground, then place about 5 or 10 6x4 vertically (over this is another big plank of wood) so would be something like this Tank is about mayb 60 or 70kgs now ? And its a 450L tank, + gravel manyb 20kg + Table mayb 80kg?? Total about 600kgs Would this work?

ammonia was 0, found out that the ph was acidic 6.6 ! got some acid remover, have to retest tomorrow, also added whitespot solution

i added some brown gravel last week, i live in remuera auckland and do use aqua + everytime i change the water, i only have one tank so i couldnt add them slowly, but am getting a bigger tank so the current tank can be a quarantine tank. ill take note on the filter cleaning, how would i add extra air? i have the airpump working 24/7.

so should i leave the bristlenose in the fry hatchery until its wounds heal? I have a fluval #3 underwater filter The tank is about 1 month old but got new fish a week ago i have a 85L tank What might be the cause? are there some chemicals i can use to reduce the white spots? each time i clean the tank, i move things around (onaments and plants)

Also my bristlenose is being picked on by the guppies ? its about 5cm, its there stuck on the filter or glass, then the guppies come and pickat it, its got some open looking wounds, so i seperated it into one of thoses fry hatchery floaters. Any advice on this pls?

I have 3 problems, 1) Today My fish (2, 1 platy and 1 black widow) are showing signs of the white spot (ich) Disease, I added Metaflex and hope it works, any thing else i should do? I change the water regulally about 20% once or twice a week. Pic 2) My guppy sometimes (5) Lie down on the gravel or onaments like in the pic, This is unusual behaviour from what I have seen them in before, This has happened since about last week. 3) Some of my fish sometimes on the left side of the tank go up and down the glass in rapid movements (like rubbing against it) up and down ?? I sometimes put a sheet of white paper on that side of the glass and then they stoped, but now some started to do this again. My temp is 26*C, I have a 85L Tank. Any help with this would be great, Thanks
