  1. Brightwater from stone and water world in ellislie is what i just got. It is dark brown colour. $12 for 25L bag, ( one would do your tank)
  2. neither is earth. Red is live and black is neutral. Don't confuse neutral with earth. I you look at aplug the points will be labelled l, n and e, live, neutral and earth. hope this heaps
  3. what about running a closed sump? have an overflow pipe running into the sump and the return pump running out and the rest is completely sealed. You could get a lid cut to fit exactly then use rubber edge to make it air tight, you could then even run the CO2 into the sump and it would sit ontop of the water in the sump. Just a thought, so it would basicly end up like a massive external filter.
  4. I have three young females and one old male.

  12. The way a transformer works is it steps down the voltage by a ratio in this case it's about 2.2, this is the turns ratio. The power in equals the power out therefore the current increase by the same amount. so if you were runnin 5A through your mains then through the pump it would be almost 11A. Hope this helps. Power in = power out approx. (some is lost to heat though) depends how effective your trasnformer is.
  13. Free speach is all ic an say. Some agree some disagree with his actions, as you said pies, how small is too small is really underfined, so mostly it is personal opinion, and i think that is mostly what has been expessed. Maybe at some points getting a little personal though For my two cents, not that i know a hell of alot about keeping marine, we should be suggesting methods for him to improve the circumstances. (Not that i personally know any.)
