Yeah I'm not sure aye, I think those people don't quite understand the caliber of the competition.

while I don't use ornaments myself I thought the little castle looked pretty in among the lacey leaves

I wouldn't have made it the winner but it was still a pretty tank.

i think it's just a different type of tank(so to say)

its a regular low tech planted tank

and most of the others are high tech high effort high quality professional aquascapes

That tank clearly has had no thought or effort put into it. And I agree with Liam, someone should stick a troll face on it

I've seen low-tech tanks that look gorgeous and even rival some high-tech tanks. Whether a tank is high-tech or low-tech has nothing to do with how good the aquascaping and plant growth is. They are just different methods which can be used to achieve a successful planted aquarium.

Heres some examples of gorgeous low-tech tanks !drool:

dont be so mean, that might of been some 12 year olds first attempt at it! Maybe it was a intellectualy handicapable persons first ever fish tank, maybe they tryed to look outside the box a little insteed of some fancy pants tank on crack look

I see where you're coming from, but the whole idea of an aquascape competition is to try and make your tank fancy-pantsier than all of the other tanks
