Duke
Upgrade Arcadia 3 Series from 150w too 250W Is this possible?
misnoma
Only with new ballasts etc and bulbs.
dogmatix
correct, but the 250W units are larger presumably for more air circulation, heat loss etc
misnoma
This is also true.
cookie extreme
what a coincidence. i was thinking the same thing a couple hours ago. one could place the ballasts outside the unit (would end up with a few more wire going up to the ceiling. this way heat would not be an issue. shouldn't be to expensive either to do. chimera
or you could sell it and buy a new unit with everything integrated

Duke
Slappers, Where did you get those fittings? Might be easier to go from 250 -150 than 150 -250 because of the extra heat. But most manufactures try to have as many common things as possible.
skuzza
I dont think they will fit as i have had some run ins with changing the insides on my light.I got an arcadia series 3 with 3 250w MH and one burnt out in the second month. They took it away and tryed to fix it buy replacing the whole inside of the unit.It came back looking like a guy wearing a t shirt 5 sizes to small. This was already a 250w and they didnt fit so i think the 3 series is thinner.Never know your luck, could be a winner
