This is the same problem I am having. I use a small ehim pump, the smallest and when I turn the drip rate down it stops. good work. but I need to know where to get one in NZ

How often do you all claen youe return / CA / Skimmer pumps and when you do how do you do it? Mine are coming up 12 months in a few months for my new tank... I like the idea of doing nothing but I'm sure there is a better option.

Well they are still there in more numbers. I have been doing good water changes and vacumming the sand weekly for a couple of weeks. Good haviong a large water supply under the house.

Do not like much use except the light thing but my streams make quite a lot of water movment on the surface. Not like this though.

Yep thanks to wasp I have purchased a CO2 tank months ago and refill is $10...... got to be good.

I also have a moon setup and you use a veriable resister and do just that. I turn mine full the slowly turn it done every few days and back up again. More for fun than copying the moon. I sometimes think the fish need some darkness as full moon is quite bright.

Reef I have a soliniod on my reator so I will hook it up to a timer. Always learning with this hobby. I hope to see a change in my tank. Will it only affect the fish? or corals also?

Reef is this just a HUGE CA reator? Also can you run a CA reator with dead coarl bits?

Reef what is the investment? And what do you expect in return for this $$$$? What I want to know is why do I want one. I alway like new toys.

Come on reef everyones CA reactor runs 24/7. Tell my who turns their Ca reator off at night. I bet your CA reactor runs 24/7.

RnB you are correct. I have been diving in Tahiti last year and I can say that the deeper you go the colder it is and BINGO same fish deeper. Big temp swings of more than 2 deg.

Ira... Stupid you call me but lets see a picture of your tank? My tank temp moves very little and I like the idea of not having to worry about them during summer. :evil:
