speed Posted January 25, 2006 Report Share Posted January 25, 2006 I have a computer fan blowing across my tank and the temperature is kept steady at around 25.5. without the fan, my temp will rise up to 28.9 or so. It's amazing how the fan can bring down the temperature of your tank to almost 3 degrees. I switch off my fan at night to prevent more evaporation. cookie extreme Posted January 25, 2006 Report Share Posted January 25, 2006 you could adjust your lighting times. mine runs in winter from 1130 til 2200 pm. in summer my halides kick in at 630 to 9 and then again from 1530 to 2100 (150w) my 400 w 700 to 930 and 1730 to 2130. that alone helps heaps with temp plus my lounge got aircon.
