yes Alois, the 620's do put out a flow, its not comparable to my tunze's (tunzi?? ) but nor is the price. You get what what you pay for, but everything helps create the chaotic flow needed for sps.

Thats very unlike Laguna my P6 has been running my tank for 3 yrs Cant even hear it if i stick my ear next to it! Maybe its drowned out by screaming kids

OK i will have to have a look at it, it sounds like a vibration coming from somewhere or the pump isn't sitting right

Most pumps can be noisy, my laguna 5 is no exception. But how long have you had it running Slappers, sometimes they quieten down after a few months anyway. But the other thing, as you said, is how it is sitting. If it's touching glass they can make a lot of noise, amazing how sometimes a pump can quiet just by moving it.

what would you reccomend putting under it?? some type of sponge or foam???

just sent back my second seio. thats 2 out of two, wont be getting a third.. have to go with reef on this one, they are doorstops. maybe its just the new ones....

Just keep swapping until you get a good one.

Do you guys put anything over the intake of your lagunas? I got a nice one off steve 2142gph and was surprised it doesnt come with an intake guard, I have heard they stop amphipods ect from getting back to the display...

Same here, the pump in my MCE600 makes a lot more noise than my laguna PJ5000.
