kiwiraka
Tropical (Not real "sharks")? Yes! Sharks e.g bull, great white, tiger. Yes, with zoo license, containment permits, massive tank e.t.c.... So for hobbyists, no.... Would be pretty epic though....
Benjansss
If you had a 500l plus round tank you could have the smaller species like cat sharks
aussiegreenthumb
you need a very big tank (min 10,000 ltrs) and make sure its a race track (round corners) for stocking a shark and thats a black/white tip that grow up to 4-5 ft your smaller sharks like carpet, bamboo or epelites are much more smaller but still need a 300g plus tank min plenty of research, money and permits can make this dream happen, good luck bro if your looking at fw tropical the black shark can get some size and look great with other big fish but becarefull they have been known to have a temper on them

livingart
cat sharks get to a metre long plus so you will need a lot bigger tank than 500L 500L round tank is roughly 1m across x 60cm high

Ira
Then they die prematurely No they don't, my grandma had a goldfish in a fishbowl for 40 years and it only grew a little bit. Sometimes it would even shrink when it got a bit big! One year it changed color too! It must have been happy to do that.
