SamH
I think the 2nd and 7th photo are his own works, indeed they are a rock collection but other than that, break all the other rules of iwagumi.

SamH
Nope, it's a George Farmer. But I think he's posting them to show people what he can do
SamH
Just bought some hi fin WCMM off TradeMe, hopefully picking them up this weekend
SamH
So here they are, 20 of them for $40 off TradeMe with two more thrown in for free  These guys were bred alongside goldfish in a large outdoor pond, they seem to be enjoying themselves in this tank though. And this little guy I'm tempted to call "Leela"
Joe
Wow they are stunning !drool: Some of the nicest minnows I've seen for sure
Sophia
I knew minnows would be a good choice. Are those the fish from Franklin?
SamH
Thanks Joe, they're like mini rainbow trout in person and the large school looks fantastic. They are perfect for this tank, another 300mm on the end would be nice though. Technically Papakura but right on the boundary, do you know the man? SamH
And we already have a jumper! Luckily I popped it back in and all seems to be fine
Adrienne
Try and keep the water cold for them Sam, as coming from outside they wont handle the heat inside a house as well. Perhaps freeze some water in snap lock bags and chuck one in each morning and evening for the first week so they have time to adjust. SamH
The ponds won't have been too cold lately, I'll freeze some bags now though

Godly3vil
Nice looking fish man, didn't think they were that colourful.
SamH
They're totally underrated fish, I'll admit I did look past them at the pet shop because they look so washed out in their tanks but their lateral stripe is an awesome iridescent rainbow colour. A large shoal is a must with these guys!
Sophia
Technically Papakura but right on the boundary, do you know the man? no, but i like looking at his auction photos if it's the one I think it is
SamH
Probably the same guy. So today I've noticed some interesting behaviour. A fatter fish was wiggling in some moss with a thinner one close behind, spawning perhaps? But most noticeably two males(?) dancing with each other and zipping around the tank. They're very fast so the quality of my photos is average at best. Any WCMM experts able to confirm this?
Sophia
Could be both, showing off to each other or spawning, but probably spawning. After a while you will know which are the females as they are duller in colour and will get fatter than the males.
TomGilberg
:cophot: and nice fish
SamH
Thanks Tom. Sophia, do the two fish in the images appear to be a male and a female to you? One is paler and fatter, the other is slim and colourful.
F15hguy
imo 2 x males, one will be paler since he's losing the display-a-thon girls will be attracted to the fin extension but girls tend to not join in
