GZ_Loach Posted February 16, 2011 Report Share Posted February 16, 2011 If its a product that clumps together fine particles so your filter can catch them then yes it is a good product to have, but only usefull when you have cloudy water i.e when you first start up the tank. suphew Posted February 19, 2011 Report Share Posted February 19, 2011 Waste control contains Heterotrophic bacteria, similar to the bacteria in Cycle but a couple of stronger more aggressive strains. It's not for combating ammonia and nitrate spikes, or for cloudy tanks, it's job is to break down solid wastes so your filter can process them into nitrates.
