SamH
, found some nice pieces of driftwwod to accompany the piece I have borrowed from Sam. One more final tidy up before the comp shots then a strip down. You found more wood? Wicked 8) Will have to come and see it before you tear it down! fordayzbro
UPDATE Had to chop the lawn today and remove some big chunks of glosso that were tangled pretty badly. I have another month of work down Christchurch coming up so will target late Feb for the final shots then the big strip down. Apologies for the rubbish image..... hard to take photos with a curious puppy at your feet.

fordayzbro
UPDATE Returned home today from 2 weeks in Christchurch to find an overgrown tank. Only a couple minor algae spots to be seen. I took these pics as soon as I got home, no maintenance done at this stage

fordayzbro
UPDATE After 2 weeks away the tank was looking really overgrown. I cleaned away a couple bits of BBA but other than that it's pretty much algae free. The glosso was about five layers so it's been given a major hack job. Looks pretty awful now, should come right in a few days...... I'm experimenting with my equipment arrangement

phoenix44
Just chuck a little of everything in like I do  Also - get a fluval M series heater. You won't regret it for a tank like yours.

Joe
Even better, build a little sump so you can put the heatering equipment, CO2 stuff and anything else in the sump :bounce:
