Sophia
how long do you plan on keeping this one for i said to my husband the other day, look at it this way, rescaping the tank is a cheap way to practise a repressed interior design hobby... I plan to get this one mature and see where I go from there. Best way to get better at scaping is by scaping I guess. I don't have the funds to setup another tank at this stage.

fordayzbro
UPDATE 2 days after setup everything is stable, slightly green water which hopefully I should be able to fix with a couple water changes. New Rhinox diffuser installed and root tabs planted to give the glosso a boost. New hairgrass shoots popping up already...
the-obstacle
Nice! Are those inlets and outlets the glass ones from *insert ebay shop name here*? They look awesome.
fordayzbro
Nice! Are those inlets and outlets the glass ones from *insert ebay shop name here*? They look awesome. They are from fish-street. I think a spray-bar is more effective though......

I'd imagine it'd be like using a slightly better shepherds hook as the output. Still, looks good

fordayzbro
Tank looks great Rhinox Diffuser looks ugly :-? TBH it's not really the best quality, bubbles on one side. I've emailed the supplier and they are sending a replacement. I would like to try EI dosing on this tank or PMDD, can't really afford to splash on the ADA ferts forever.... Question - does PMDD have PO4? phoenix44
It's one of the main ingredients if made correctly.

phoenix44
Yep  I couldn't see any results like I could with comprehensive, so I went back to comprehensive. Now I know I'm going to get the macro-micro lecture, but that's how it was

Jennifer
I agree. I used to use PMDD years ago, but now I prefer the flexibility of being able to fine tuning my macros. I really like the results I get with Comprehensive for micros so now I dose each of NPK separately plus Comprehensive and added iron. fordayzbro
Update Been away for a couple days and the CO2 ran out...instant algae  Not bad though, should be able to get rid of most of it pretty easy. Glosso is growing well and hairgrass is rapid. Will trim hard this weekend
