February 25, 201016 yr comment_357488 You should see the golden orb web spiders we had in SA. Web was so strong you could throw a rock at it and it would bounce out. Regularly caught sparrows and other small birds. Bite, whilst big, leaves a mark, and injects large amounts of venom, is not of medical significance to humans. These are the ones we used to collect The latest of thier kin. Report

Hardly see it but Ive cut back on the food and its pimped out its web in the last few days. and most mornings its waiting for something to go walking past.. Disappears as soon as I open the container so no feeding footage yet 8) Report

April 25, 201016 yr Author comment_368443 The spider has way more patience than me Supasi - was found in a very old shed when a mate was cleanign up. I use to find them in old willow trees under the rotten bark to. Often see there holes in the willows with a bit of web around it, but inticing them out is not easy. Ill let you know if i get offered anymore. Report
