Charlie Posted January 28, 2010 Author Report Share Posted January 28, 2010 I would hate to thnk of the cost of quarantine though? fish are expensive and dont really cause any harm to our eco-system... being that NZ has many native bird species i think it will be hard and very expensive for a individual to import... Barrie Posted January 28, 2010 Report Share Posted January 28, 2010 there was a quarintine station at Warkworth/Kaipara The one at spotswood (Melborne) use to cost around $100000 per shipment but as they have now stopped importing of most birds from Ozz, the Kaipara one would be the best and cheapest bet assuming that they are still going. When I use to import, all I had to do was keep the new imports away from my existing and indoors. No negitive air or baths and the like.
