alanmin4304 Posted November 15, 2009 Report Share Posted November 15, 2009 Aponogeton distachyus is legal (as far as I can tell) but is not usually sold in the shops as it prefers cooler water and only has floating leaves so all you see in an aquarium is the stalks. It grows everywhere down here. Its common name is Water Hawthorn. As Alan said, it only grows floating leaves so no good in aquariums unless you want to look at stalks.I have some growing in my pond.
