trust me you'll have your hands full with a lorikeet. the bigger parrots like those guys and greys are much less work - but they need more stuff space etc.

lorikeets are awesome though. if you are consistent with your training etc, you will love having one as a companion pet.

Oh dont worry i am in no way implying that id rather have a macaw. I have wanted a lorikeet since the first time i met Kaos in animates!

and i will persist with the training.

All who know me know that if i am determined it will happen lolz

make an excellent pet, but the odd one can be a growler

ie: sit there and growl all the time

usually good talkers

Hmm would get on well with my dogs then, it'll growl at them and they'll growl back :D

can you get them NZ?

I have an african grey too, are you able to identify the type?

i love african grays used to work with one he was so neat

we were best pals

oneday i evan saved his life

he was swinging upside down in his cage and got taggled in his toys,he paniked and let go and hung himself with a chain round his neck the white around his eyes went blood shot and it was to tight to untangle

when he nearly passed out was when i managed to get him free

he was in shoc and panting heavaly but still walked over to me(i put him on a desk)and gave me a kiss

and all i did was cry coz i new if that happened 5mins later i wouldnt of been there

and from then on we were really close

(but i came to nz and he said with his owner,i miss him(OLLY)so much)

so everyone be carefull with the toys you leave in your parrot(bird)cages
