reef
That is a lot of power, Just checked my power bill today $700 a month. Got shock as i never check it.. Prices are getting out of control in NZ.
wasp
Just had a look at the actual link, I think it is one of the best sps tanks I've ever seen. Money is obviously no object though!
davidb
the pics have been photoshopped... nice tank all the same though
reef
the pics have been photoshopped Maybe , but very little, but everything looks realistic, the tank would look even better in real life. Colours are not That unnatural in that tank. Every feature tank is photoshopped.
camnbron
the pics have been photoshopped... nice tank all the same though Thats the problem with photos on the interweb. IMO pictures start to look cheesy when they are fiddled with. This one is not as bad as others around, at least it doesn't look like the corals and fish have been cut and pasted! Dixon1990
Cos that does sound a little unrealistic
livingart
i pay around 800 per month for the fishroom so maybe not unrealistic
puttputt
Lovely tank, stunning corals, clearly over saturated colours, look at the fish - ridiculous and IMO not needed. give me another year......................
kevan
here is pic from when tank started Pics from thread http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showt ... id=1053276
reef
Photos are not that bad. the fish look normal to me. It is just a outstanding tamk. Very hard to get good photos with the amount of light he has as they do make the corals less colourful so you have to photoshop them. especially with the bulbs he is using. raeh1
I think one of the better tank of the months. 3700 watts of light alone. heres me thinking of increasing from 400 watts total to 600 watts total haha...
kevan
Reef you said power $700 any idea of the amount for just your large reef tank?
puttputt
the fish look normal to me. . said through the rose coloured glasses of a fish importer!!! It is an outstanding tank, one of the best, but he didn't need to bullsh-t his colours, simple!
reef
Thats how the fish look. no roses , I would say reef central would be doing the editing of the photos. Thats what all the Magazines did when i sent them photos. My tank will be on the new freeview digital TV in a few months so will see how they edit it.
