paul_r Posted February 4, 2008 Report Share Posted February 4, 2008 as far as i can remember from school the albino gene is recessive (weaker) and the offspring will have both albino and normal genes but offspring will all come up normal (unless normal looking frog already has albino genes) then if you cross the young with albino parent you should in theory get a 50/50 mix of albinos and normal. Which you wont know unless you got it genotyped. the young of a cross- green x albino- are guaranteed to be heterozygous and if you cross the young with each other 25%n will be homozygous green and 25% homozygous albino.
