crossing albino frogs with normal

as far as i can remember from school the albino gene is recessive (weaker) and the offspring will have both albino and normal genes but offspring will all come up normal (unless normal looking frog already has albino genes)

then if you cross the young with albino parent you should in theory get a 50/50 mix of albinos and normal.

Hopfully that is correct, was so long ago since i paid attention in biology

cross an albino frog with normal the colours in offspring will tell you the genotype

very true, asuming you know you have a homologous 'normal'

(i'm no geneticist though :D although i do work with one)

I think what I wrote is right, heres the link:

If you have a spare albino around i'll be happy to buy it off you 8)

Hi, sorry about the trademe link, I thought you guys have no problems with it as it is helping someone out and not there to force a sale or anything (besides the auction has expired).

Anyway if you decide to sell I am just a PM away :D
