repto
not wanting to tell you what to do or anything but these critters like and need abit of humidity(you did say water d`s?)looks a tad on the dry side in there and you could run to a bit more water perhaps? broms2
looks more like a beardie setup. you did a real good job though looks awesome bulldogod - ive got sand and it seems good, beardie runs round and digs heaps of holes, the pooo is easy to scoop out because it dries up. A.PROPHECY
i dont think its that bad in ther, ill get a humidity tester tommrow an check as ive said in one of my threads im getting a rock pond for the tank, one of those ones you see in the garden center so there will be alot more water in there soon ,that should raise the humidity

henward
i have a beardie just wondering though - in the wild these guys eat and live on all sorts of substrate, basically where ever there is free space. Babies will pounce on anything that moves. i dont think they are fussed. Interweb says that you should put this and that etc, but in the wild, no one looks after that, they jsut live. im sure they are not rfussed on sand, crushed rock, evens oil, real living grass, compost, and pebbles. Afrikan
We have our beardie on carpet, commercial grade, so easy to clean.. we have a few bits cut to the same size for his tank, and each bit taken out on clean out is so easy to blast with the hose. Of course the carpet is earth tones so doesn't look artificial or out of place  Fine sand looks like a nice idea...

broms2
nope, no smell, have it in the dining room where we eat.
livingart
have it in the dining room where we eat thats a good idea, we have wooden floors i suppose the sand absorbs anything the kids drop off the table  don't you tramp it through the rest of the house ? broms2
yeah really good for the boy, we have a water bucket to stand in before we go on the carpet
Varanophile
got sand in my water dragon tank , wasnt to sure about it till i did it and man it looks good and easy to clean Dude your reptile tubes are way too high. UVA/UVB travels 25cm max. This will cause a major with the calcium absorption. Try to buy some arcadia light control units- the ones with the cord, as you can hang them down lower. Cool tank tho
A.PROPHECY
was using arcadias but changed these units look better branches in tank are 10cm form top of tank they also get natural sunlight in the arvos 8) all good
snookie
is the wood going to cope with the humidity ?
Varanophile
get charcoal or green or coffee grit from stone and water world. heaps cooler than sand and easy to clean with a kitty litter scoop. no dragons under 12 weeks should have substrate- learnt this the hard way.
