  1. Thank you for your enquiry Dogs and cats are the only pets permitted to travel accompanied with passenger as checked in baggage. All other pets , insects, lizards will go as unaccompanied cargo. Cost is $170.30 if travelling between islands from the North to South or vice versa. Drop off is one hour prior to departure. Well thats just inconvenient. Pet bus it is.
  2. I have 2 large ones, have had for about 5 years I think, one of them has a chunk taken out of its back but it doesnt affect it in anyway, ill take some pics tomorow and post up for you.
  3. Thanks for that, have just sent pet bus an email. It was more of a convenience thing, I was heading down there anyway to visit my brother, and he is going to look after when I leave the country soon, so figured I could just take it with me, didn't realise it would be such a hassel, (i'm also taking down 4 guns with me which was easy as pie to sort out) But apparently because its not a cat or dog they were all humdedoo about it. It's going to be in a cage etc, all packaged up just like a cat or dog, so I didn't really see what the big deal was about? Thanks for the replys tho, hopefully I will be able to sort something out.
  4. Lizard.......what lizard, (Jedi hand wave), Hmmm any other options?
  5. Is anyone able to give me some information on getting a Dragon from the north to south island, Im flying from Rotorua to Christchurch and thought it wouldnt be too much hassel, but upon ringing air NZ, and telling them I would like to take a Lizard with me (Not a cat or dog much to their surprise), no-one there was really too much help or was awear of what was required, in the end they said $170.30 and a hard plastic cage should do the trick. If anyone knows of an easier way it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  6. AWSOME Hans dropped them of today (THANKS) big one 10cm shell is swimming around alot, the smaller one is not quite as active, Do they sleep in the water or where ever? I have breakfast shift at work tomorow morning at 5am, i think ill be up every 5 minutes to check on them tho haha. They are sooooo cool tho will post pics when i have the big tank set up. Thanks everyone for you help and suggestions really appreciated.
  7. Thanks for all the replys, Is a bare bottom tank the best? also would normal play sand be alright in as the substrate on the ledge? And just a few more questions, What would be the best best food for them, And what lighting do they require a basking lamp and UV-A and UV-B tube lighting?
  8. Ok so how much water is good for reeves? 1 foot to much? enough? not enough?. Will this design and sizes work to house two of them for life?
  9. Cooooooooool going to be any for sale? how much?

  14. So i couldnt go past getting some albino frogs which will be comming in 3 weeks hopefully. Im wanting to set up a wicked vivarium for them i was looking at probibly getting one of those exo terra 30cm by 30 by 45 sized, does anyone know what the exo terra waterfalls are like? do they look natural or cheap and nasty? potting mix under substrate good for plant growth and wont effect frogs, Heard fertalizer was a no no? Have read that frogs need UV lighting is this true im guessing the UV would help plants grow well to. What are some good choices for plants? So thats going to be my project over the next couple of weeks will post pics of progress. Any help/input would be greatly appreciated Thanks.
  15. Great call that they are going to mark possibly the last del in country so will be good somewhere that everyone can enjoy them.
