  1. Does anyone know of any cheep accommodation in Pukekohe? My son and i are looking at being at puke on the 26-28, and i was hoping to find some cheep accommodation, instead of paying for petrol to travel each day. I have been googleing for a while now, and have only found places out of our budget. Does anyone know of any camp grounds in the area??? Any help would be appreciated
  2. Any news as to when the tank crawl is? might be keen to come alone, may be even put our tank in.
  3. I know there are panduro in the country, and i suspect pandurini ( in sure someone identified a difference). There should also be MacMasteri floating around, there were alot around a while back. I would like to think Trifasciata would be in NZ, Maybe someone can confirm this for me. It is sad to see that there are not many apistos around at the moment, they are great fish, at one stage we had 9 species, and 3 types of cockatoo. now it looks like we are struggling to confirm 9 species in NZ

  8. any of you aero guys using dsm yet??? if so how are you finding it?? Im looking into a 2 channel set for my car, but i think i will wait, as alot of guys at racing are getting really bad glitching :-?
  9. Thanks, that is good to know. I spent 8 years moving furniture, and was told early on that if plasmas were tilted, it would mix gasses (or something like that) and the TV would not be useable after that. As keeping it upright was easy to do, we were not willing to test the theory out.
  10. If you have more than one bed, put it between the mattresses, or if you only have the one bed, put it between the soft side of the base and the mattress, with the screen facing the mattress. I have transported 20-30 this way with no complaints. I have also been told that plasma's can not be tilted so try to keep it vertical at all times. Good luck
  11. Just found a clip with me showing my skills 8) My car is the yellow/red/black EL Falcon, with the fluro yellow wheels. Anyone that was also at the 4 and rotary nats show and shine would of seen me drifting there too
  12. Hi all yes there is a meeting tonight at 6pm, at the club rooms, Please remeber to bring a plate for super and anything that you may wish to sell on the sales table. Hope everyone has had a gpod holiday and hope to see you all there tonight. Cheers Helen
  13. Well done paul, I would just leave them be, but keep an eye on them. some times the one of the parents will get protective of the brood, and start to fight, if this gets bad, separate them. But the norm is they will both bring the up together, the female might start eating fry if you disturb them. If you are to separate them, id keep the male out of sight. HTH P.S Another thing we have done successfully is once the fry become free swimming, put a young bn in there so the parents have something to take there agro out on. If there is a dither in there tank or in a tank next to them (you know how my tanks are) they are more likely to work together.
  14. to be honest i dont know how big they grow, ive seen some big ones. bedt bet is to research green & golden bell frogs, im sure all the info is on the net somewhere

Thanks for that, we are shipping to the south island so wanted to make sure they will be ok for the trip down. Also what courier company would you recommend for shipping them. I know NZ Couriers will ship fish but is there any other company cheaper that you may no if. Cheers Helen
  18. Hi, I am woundering if anyone knows how you pack frogs for transport as we have some golden bell baby frogs for sale that we are now having to package up to be sent and am unsure what is the best and safest way to do this. Any idea's will be great Thanks Helen
  19. What, no servo upgrade???? sounds like a nice setup... you coming up for the nats????
  20. Abit more on rotary RC cars http://www.rcdrift.org/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=374
  21. Yea, 1/8th gas looks like alot of fun, but there is the BIG $$$$$ barrier stopping me from going there, when it comes to rc racing, i like to be at the sharp end of the field. Ive heard a few figers thrown about with what the guys are spending on the nats..... ill stick to drifting...... for now
  22. i know people that have got into drifting for under $150. bit i would allow about $300. if he has been into rc cars before, he will probably have parts lying around that can keep costs down.
