    baby CUCKOOS

sorry to hear that. How big is ur syno colony
  2. Thanks. I only keep tangs :smln: and some Malawi peacocks etc. Will post pictures of them when they colour up. I have to thank alot of people that I have a good collection now. They know who they are  it used to be better but sold alot of fish that I probably won't see again
  3. Thanks but everyone has these tangs. Quality is a different thing. Yup that's j ornatus. Those are leleupi fry
  4. Nice comps are they gold heads?
  5. I feed my fish min 2x a day and feed upto 4/5x a day in the weekend. Before waterchanges I feed them the messy stuff like lettuce, brine shrimp etc. I do stop feeding my fish at times but that's usually for a period of time like 3-5 days.
  6. Good shots mate!!!! Loving the peacocks
  7. Hmm... So many different answers 1) male 2) female 3) not sure but I vote for male I would vent them to be sure when you change the tanks this weekend
  8. N.cobue look great when they are older
  9. That looks like a male to me. Bit more time will show their colour. Not the sunshine yellow but the one behind.
  10. Agree with smiley. They are not as hard as people say they are to keep. Alot of personality aswell
  11. They are line bred that's why they have that colour. Honestly they look great when older. Don't get me wrong I love WC fish but this has to be one of the sweetest looking trops. Fish may stop growing when kept in the wrong condition but the actual eye never stops growing. The fish also grow the most in the first 6 months and these fish have gone though alot of stress so may have been compromised on the size.
  12. They do look like wild fish from over seas but what I mean is the brightness in colour, body shape and behaviour have changed over time. In saying that we have to do with what we are given. Tropa = trops
  13. The red phoenix/bishop were developed by a farm called fishes of Burundi. They developed most of the different looking tropheus seen on The net e.g golden Bemba, star spotted duboisi, golden kariza, red bisop and the albino brichardi. The red bishops that are bred in Europe came from the same farm but have been developed further by breeders but the ones that went to Asia didn't. The Asian trops are also called fire fox duboisi to give it their own twist. The truth is not clear but the pheonix is apparently a line bred fish from caramba. There are also pictures of golden looking trops that looks like the red pheonix bred from a group of caramba. The original breeder has more from the group now.
  14. Plus brichardi line bred fish are the same as these. Line bred brichardi are about 250 euro each at the moment.
  15. Yea mpulungu and illangi would be cool but who will pay the price. If I had the money ( wrong timing ) these would be in my collection without a doubt. Most of the tropa that we have are so far from wild fish how can we say that they are what they are.
  16. The only line bred fish from Asia that hit Europe is the red phoenix/red bishop.
  17. The comment from HFF narrows the tropheus to one strain. These are very expensive in Europe and America. Hopefully someone can get a good group going :nfs:
  18. Nothing wrong with it. Its actually a good collection. I want alot of stuff from you
  19. Nice pics dude. Think we need to find you some more peacocks
