  1. yeah oops, I was getting water misters mixed up with ultrasonic foggers. Would love a fogger (my flatmate even has one, which hes refusing to sell to me  even tho he doesn't use it haha), but wouldnt want to buy one (from where? ebay is the only place I have found them) if its just going to clog. Feel free to share said location of tadpoles with me too Stella
  2. Looks awesome, though its a shame the 'whole tank' pic is small, I'd love a closer look! And didn't you have a mister in there? Why can't you use ultrasonic misters?
  3. Firstly, you should probably make sure its a boy before calling it something like Bruce Secondly, and off the topic haha, I have been training my burmese girl a bit. She loves fetching, but she taught herself that. Have taught her to stand on her hindlegs and touch my hands, shake, and lie down. Moving onto rollover after exams are finished
  4. Yeah, I don't do.... whatever that was? trade? economics? haha
  5. Not everyone can afford show quality imported bettas, they go on trademe for $300+ a pair! Nice fish Olly, fingers crossed you breed him!
  6. Yeah I am a visual learner as well, like I remember where it was on the page and how many points there were Though like I said before, when you are getting into more than 100 pages, they start to get muddled up  Good luck everyone for exams!
  7. I am a major procrastination-crammer Leave it too late, go OMG theres too much to learn in too short a time! Panic somewhat, freak out, cram as much as possible, and somehow make it through the exam... I tend to try to write out my own notes, so I have a big sheaf of "this is everything I need to know, in here" Been getting bigger over the years tho, its kinds depressing to have 100+ pages of "need to knows" for one exam lol
  8. 13 hours 20 minutes until the first exam Count yourself lucky
  9. This is what inspired me... Scroll to nearer the bottom of that thread, he turns it into a fantastic moss scape. And the other pages have awesome pics too http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/vivarium-terrarium/50347-snapples-44gal-dart-tank-sept-28-a.html
  10. anyone got scaped frog tanks? can you post photos? Am considering setting up my spare little tank to house whistling frogs, but as much for the fun of scaping with wood and moss and plants as for having frogs lol. Just wondering what other people had for setups...
  11. I was gonna say it didn't look too healthy :-? Why did they try to move it? That wouldn't have helped Interesting nonetheless!
  12. I wanna be at high school again  Though I was lucky enough to go through the old system - School C and Bursary for me! Was the last to go through I think. Final year exams on Monday *expires* I HATE study, procrastinate far too much, freak out... all going well these are my last ones forever *freaks out some more* Good luck everyone
  13. Wow, theres some talented people in here! I love the giant building climbing iguana livingart I work in 2D Usually have to take photos of them before I give them to their new owners, but the poodle and horse I scanned (finished it when I was at my parents and have a scanner there) These 3 are pencil portrait comissions of peoples pets Though the scanner doesn't like lighter shades, so it kind of bunged up this one I also have copic markers, but haven't had much time to play with them thanks to uni. Can't wait till final exams are over!! This one is actually smaller than here lol, its only 10cm across I can't do original stuff though  My partner calls me the human photocopier  Rozski
  14. lol Don't go back there! It will suck you in and never let you go... Very addictive are messageboards
  15. I've joined the blacklist club Surely "I thought these were mutants, but it turns out I just have a pair of bristlenoses" will drum up as much business as "Mutant Baby Sucky Fish!"
  16. as dimebag said, a waterchange with cool water. And add some aquarium salt, that triggered my dwarf flags Are you feeding them up on bloodworms and the such? Sure its a pair?
  17. BINGO! Why didn't I think of this before. A quick google image search and voila: From addicted2cichlids.com.au
  18. I already had a discussion with this person on the TM messageboards. Seems the only 2 fish in the tank are this 'apparent' pleco (which is 3 years old and only 10cm, but it is in a 35 litre tank...) and the male golden. However, when she provided the photo of the female I asked her if she took it and she never answered that. Whether she forgot or not... but I have a sneaky suspiscion that she might have gotten the pleco photo from the internet? Its hard to google and find out whether they can interbreed as bristlenoses are so often referred to as pleco's :-? But they are different species so I assumed not
  19. Gorgeous!! Love the photos and the sealife. I need to go diving again, we didn't see turtles in Fiji, or Morays!
  20. Just went to look, but I think they've given up. They still were guarding fry on Saturday, and the fry were trying to free swim, it was cute. The parents had shifted them yet again yesterday, and I couldn't see if there were any, but today neither of them are guarding anywhere, so appears no fry left. They were shifting them every 12 hours or so, and probably would leave some behind every time? Ah well, will see if they try again According to your thread in Freshwater, they like to breed lol
  21. Ummm, probably had them a couple of months. The females were little when I got them though, and I think I triggered spawning by adding salt to the tank the other day. Will get photos of the girls for you later. I checked their dorsal fins yesterday too, and the girls are definitely more short and stubby compared to the male.
  22. Oh wow thats awesome!! Glad to hear you got some cool fish, would love to see the triple reds. Definitely post some pics please! And don't worry about thread stealing lol Mine keep shifting their wrigglers around, hopefully not leaving too many behind each time, otherwise they will have none left
  23. 180!!! wow! and 75, still, thats a lot of fighters lol Was going to ask you what you had raised. Do you have any dwarf cichlids? I tried to raise dwarf gourami fry, but they all got to free swimming then perished and I tried ram eggs once. Had them hatch and wriggling, then I dropped java moss into the bare bottom tank they were in and they went into it and were never seen again
  24. I have no idea... I'd probably kill them all anyway
