Greg Leveridge from Taurange breeds H. Kudas.
He use to supply to several shops in Auckland.
But after sending some to the States,
he found he couldn't supply both markets, so opted for the more lucrative.
Guess that wasn't NZ
He is now shipping regularly to the States
and has also broken into the Canuck territory.
Last time I spoke with him, and after several thousand exports,
he has had NO "doa's" reported back to him.
So the method that he has developed for sending them, has also been a success.
Warning.
Don't go near him on an export day
He had only just finished his new breeding facility,
then was offered a price he couldn't refuse for his house,
so has moved to a farmlet up by Bethlehem (BoP).
As far as I know he is the only one breeding "Tropical" horses in NZ.
There are others doing local cold ones, H. abdominalis.
IF you were able to get them, the tropicals,
they would cost $60 bucks each if I remember correctly
