So... I have had a male bristlenose for a few weeks now, and after his initial few days sulking I would see him at least once a day out and about, and food/courgette would disappear quite happily.
Niloc came over the other evening to pick up some baby(ish) cons that were in the same tank, and to catch em we had to move the driftwood around somewhat (quick wee buggers they are ). We discovered the back half of the male b/n sticking out of a drilled hole in the bogwood, and even as we lifted it out of the water he just didn't want to come out of there So we left the wood in the tank, moving it a few times to get the cons out, and have carefully replaced it so as not to crush the poor guy.
Now I understand he'll be stressed about now, and occasionally I walk past and see his tail move, but that's all I've seen just this tail sticking out of a hole which moves very occasionally.
Is it possible he's gotten stuck in there? Obviously I'm not all that keen to grab him by the tail and drag him kicking and screaming out of there if he's just being a fraidy cat and chilling.
