hi clown laoches seem to be really suseptible to white spot. raising the temp is good, but as said above doesnt treat the white spot, only makes treatment more effective. you need to use a white spot treatment. be aware that laoches dont have scales so you MUST half dose any treatments! otherwise their skin will burn. get it quick or you will have trouble shifting it from clowns good luck plecs

i would probably get new filter material, you have no idea how old the stuff in it is, or what was going on in the tank when it was used last. ehiems are great filters though, sure you will love it! plecs

hi guys one of my peppered cory's has turned black. thought i had a new fish in the tank but it is one of the peppered. he has no eyes, but has been like that for a while now. obviously he is unhappy, and ideas on what i can do? not one of my favourite fish, but still dont want to loose him. thanks plecs

when i saw the photo of him in your tank with the plants I wondered how long the plants would last! Mine are much smaller and can do some great damage! Some of the more exotic plecos dont damage plants much (some do though, like my royal) so you could try one of them, and they dont get as big. Will cost you more though! shame, hopefully he will find a good home plecs

siamese fighters have done well in cold water, as long as it doesnt get too cold in winter. Borneo Sucker fish too. plecs

Mystic is right, the more of them the more you see them! I got four for my 4 foot, put them in and didnt see them for weeks. Then i would see one at a time, never more, so thought that i only had one left! Now, and a few months have gone by, i found three, and they are almost always visable, and last night found the fourth :lol: so all still alive! and they have grown heaps they are cool fish, get more and enjoy them! plecs

I've had good feedback from customers Billaney. and they are on special right now. plecs

at work we had automatic water changes going on. If i wasn't there fast enough with the Aqua Plus i found that lots of fish would die! We were loosing loaches and borneo suckers, sometimes ten per tank. The only thing i could pin it down to was the automatic water changes and the lack of a water ager. Once i stopped the automatic water changes the deaths stopped. Palmy water has 33 metals and a good amount of chlorine. As a result i always recommend it! plecs

clown loaches are starting to appear with extra stripes, and black spots. doesnt mean anything about sex. not sure how you sex them I'm afraid. plecs

some wholesalers sell guppies that are used to coldwater, when shops buy them in they are listed as coldwater guppies. they are no different to other guppies, just that they are used to the cold water and you dont have to worry about getting them acclimatised. hope that helps clear that up plecs

thanks for that kyle, i know they dont seem to like eachother but had hoped that a pair would get on ok????!!!!!! he/she is beautiful so even if i dont breed from it it will still make a great addition to the tank! as long as it doesnt hide all the time! thanks again plecs :lol:

YAY!!!! today i got a gold nugget! it is a really pretty one! really nice spots, was love at first site, so stuck the sold sign on him and proceeded to show him off to all my fish customers, who all wanted him too! fingers crossed he lives! want to sex him so i can try and get a mate, just not sure how! plecs

i will check the computers tomorrow to see how much they are on the animates computer. very odd as that is way cheaper than we are currently being charged for them! plecs

where did you see the albino neons?? How much were they? sounds very interesting!!! plecs

for a nice community tank there are lots of choices for fish. i like cherry barbs, the males are a lovely red and they are friendly barbs too! emporer (sp) tetras are great too! mine have thrived and grown really well. go for cardinal tetras over neons any day! see what you like, try and get all friendly and no fish that will make life difficult. you can have the odd one that isnt so friendly, I have one shark, but there would be trouble if i added another one! good luck! go and see what you like and do some research! plecs

i would be amazed if anyone had them for sale cheaper than $40, and that is from seeing the wholesale price. Can't see how animates had them that cheap, maybe we are talking about different fish????? They are nice and i would love a school of them, when i can afford it! plecs
