How far from Wellington is it to the meeting ? If i can get there and back I'd be happy to come talk at the meeting for you on behalf of the FNZAS if you want. or the time after whenever suit you guys , its an open offer.

They did make a good point of what nasty's the fish and/or water might be carrying which is a bigger risk than the fish themselves. the lady also said they could come in if quarantined for 6 weeks.

I was looking at some of my Albinos today and thought this one was close to the ones above

I would ask the local shop to test Their water , it might be a little lows for example 6.5, yours might be 7.5 and that IS enough to shock a fish, some species more than others. boths reading are fine but to change from one to the other could be too much for more delicate fish

what was the water conditions at the pet store ? they might have been dramaticly differant to yours and the fish did not like the change , not that either were bad , just differant.

To stop me from getting board I like to have 4 or 5 projects on the go at the same time that way there is always something happening , at the momment i'm really into my rainbow fish , my killifish, my albino guppies and holding my breath with my chocolate Zebra plec's ...... always ways something doing something exciting. :bounce: :bounce:

they look about as albino as you can get ! , you say you came about them while browing , I'm guessing while browing the internet , not your local pet shop. If so you need to give credit to the web site you got the pictures from.

1. Only fish hatching on or after 2 March will qualify for the next year Your fish have to have been seen free swimming for 30 day by the 31st March to count for the 2008 -2009 breeding year, after that they are in the 2009 -2010 breeding year.

Well done Barrie !! It was a great weekend , thanks to everyone that put some much work to make it happen ! It was really nice to catch up with friends and make new ones too. Next stop Conference !!

in that photo, I agree they do , i also have brochis and WISH thay had long fins but sadly only the bronze corys have the long/high fins

Normally around 28 days but if stressed can hold on for much longer.

Caryl is spot on ! , It could just be the stress of coming home or change in water conditions or a number of other factors.

sorry to hear what happened , it is hard to come back but its worth it when your happy with the results again, i know , been there done that several times. :-?

sorry to say i lost mine in two seprate tank crashes, but happy to say others who got them off me still have some so hope to get some back someday
