Ok, so I cheated a little and bought a pregnant female... but they're still there. I think some have been eaten but there are currently 6 or so hiding out, and she's still huge so perhaps more to come? They look like little submarines!!! (goes ga-ga)

The biggest I have at the moment is a 250L tank - don't think it's as much space as he should have, but putting him in there until a better home is found is better than having to put him down. i will be moving quite a few of the fish from there into other tanks this weekend. Haha, that tank needs the plants thinned down a bit - let him do his worst :lol: So if you can't find somewhere, i'm happy to give him somewhere to live until a home is found (or til i get the bigger tank i've had my eye on)

How do you know? i got this female already pregnant from jansens just over a week ago - she is looking lots bigger, darker area etc, but not sure how close she is... I don't have a guppy breeding trap, but i have one of those floating hatcheries with the grill separating the top 2/3s from the bottom 1/3 - i think this should work for guppies?

can remove or separate the mummy, or give them plants etc to hide in. Someone else will probably have better ideas tho - i have a pregnant female but when she pops her sprogs it will be my first lot of guppy babies

Awww.. my mate's family had a tortoise - their backyard was secured so he could roam around. He had to have his "friends" (boots etc) changed often, as he always got sick of them after a while :lol: :roll: "Men!!!" Good luck finding yours a girlie
