  1. depending how big etc he may be able to absorb if thats the correct term as a form of calcium, tortoises can eat huge chunks of heated bones(incinerated) and nothing comes out.good luck you should know soon enough.
  2. maybe in a former life you were..............a mosquito larvae?
  3. nah,hes just one that was really shy and as a result missed out on a bit of food etc and was smaller so I kept him,now hes on his own has growen but still does not like people, when he sees you he hides and if you poke a camera in his face?has never biten me but gives the impression he would like to!
  4. heard today that the Napier Aquarium has recently done this and they are both doing well.Have had twins in red ears 3 or 4 times but one is usually dead and small on the end of the umbilicus of the good one, also had siamese twin beardies that went full term but never hatched.
  5. that should be as plain as black and white???
  6. put it on its own so it does not get eaten by the others, you could have something worthwhile there,we have a distinct lack of any real pied ones here, they would fetch a good price on the open market if you get get a line going.
  7. have a look in the bearded dragon manual, can`t lay my hands on mine at the moment but I think jody may have a copy?dip the tail in a weak solution of hydrogen peroxide, but check the book for the right concentration.Feed them more food so they don`t eat each other??been there done that.
  8. I give up,have to get someone to come around and show me what to do.
  9. last try You had the HTML and BBCode tags disabled. Bill Mod
  10. was just wondering if he could have been one of mine, thats all.will try and put up a pic of one of my critters, have not managed it yet? You had your IMG Tags all up the pole.... plus you had your"Diable HTML" ticked... and your BBCode Ticked... which was all preventing your pic displaying. All fixed now, Mod Bill.
  11. geez, prophecy you must be mean with the food?I thought he may have been a hybrid,TRex X beardy?
  12. don`t give my locusts any water other than fresh grass?crickets had a wet sponge?
  13. not uncommon for young ones to have a go at their siblings tail tips as they walk past etc, anything that moves syndrome?give them more tucker!it will grow back unlike a beardy but will never get to full length.keep an eye on it that it is clean and dry otherwise it could keep getting shorter and shorter?have seen this with a beardy but not a wd.you could put a bit of bettadine or similar antiseptic on it.
  14. your babies are not long for this planet if thats the case.Just remember you are dealing with a small delicate living thing. They have really sensitive skins and when they are that small handling is not only unnecessary but in my opinion plain stupid. As far as the salt frog all you can do is rinse him quickly as you did and see what happens?
  15. so thats why you paid a grand for the yellow one you cunning toad?
  16. agree with exotherm? on this, snails are like lollies are for kids to a bluetongue.Leave the shells on too they might eat some free natural calcium. My boxies can`t get enough snails either, not pretty to watch but I am sure they are enjoying themselves?
  17. where you are etc I would be very suprised if there were none in the ponds already??maybe Koi as well?
  18. have a similar species ?around here but with 2 spikes like false legs off the rear of the abdomen?big huge fangs thats for sure!I gave one to the aquarium and they had it out the back for ages feeding on mealwormsand cockroachs, could have a look for anyone but I am sh... scared of them!they live down a decent sized silk lined hole but you can find the odd one under logs etc.
  19. ranout of interest in this already?its a harlequin gecko only found on stewart island and only discovered in the 80`s I think.
