    there was acage full of senegals there last year,$1500 each from memory?

    just a natural instinct they have.Some turtles in high traffic areas seem to sit there regardless but most I have had end up to be like the flightiest one in the group in a matter of days.The design of your pen may help if they can see you coming a long way off ,but mine has a low solid tin wall and they see my head appear from nowhere and are off!even tame turtles that have come to me from other places get toey fast.

    if you must feed it fish get some small herrings,feeder goldfish etc,something that still has its bones in it.

    my adult beardies delight in crunching up the beetles and it is a real crunch.Never really fed them on purpose mind you,just when the odd one gets mixed in with what I am feeding out and too lazy to catch it out.Young beardies you would be asking for impaction problems I would think,as well as the biting that was mentioned.

    go to the fielding bird sale on the 18th april ,you can buy the birds or just have a look,biggest bestest sale in the country.fielding civic centre just across from mcdonalds.

    once you know what you are looking for its pretty easy with mature animals.

    get some whole live fish for him,guppies,gambusia etc.give them a flick in the net to demobilise them a bit before putting them in.

    the link does not work for me but if its the still air hovabator they have a water tray in the bottom with variuos trays you can use to add more surface area and thereby increase or decrease the humidity level.worked well for me with turtles and beardies.

    no but you would be surprised at the number and profusion of plants and flowers/fruit fruit following rainstorms etc.and the speed at which they come on.
