  1. Reef, Can you keep Lamarcks in pairs???, in other words can I introduce a female for my big boy Lamarck, given hes a mature, 5-6" long male, and quite stroppy?
  2. Neon Dottyback, Called Flash, cause he is!

  4. Bugger, too quick for me Wasp.
  5. i hate "page expired", when you refresh you get a double post.
  6. Theres something that I agree with , I'm convinced that the aquafarmed corals we see mainly imported here weren't farmed because they were brown. Love watching the colours come through.
  7. Thanks all. Very pleased so far, considering its still maturing. Letting coraline cover the back and floor Reef, prefer that to paint etc, but takes a bit longer.
  8. Some pics of how the new tanks going, just in case your interested
  9. You know where to come, make it a weekend.
  10. Thats why I was surprised at some of the prices at Albany.
  11. Also read a few times that stray currents may cause it, do you use a grounding probe.
  12. your probably right, but still expensive, even the torches were alot. Noticed all corals were expensive, probably because I'd noticed that prices at HFF had been very reasonable lately.
  13. I looked at some euphilias in there a few weeks back, and thought the prices were ridiculous, $300 for a hammer!!!
  14. Nice to see how far that tanks come since last time I saw it Ben, very nice. Couple of those Acros look familiar , and doing very well. Nice Montis!!!
  15. 18-24 blister packs a week, plus live mysid!!!!!
  16. WOW, nice tanks, nice LFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. have to bite my tongue here i think.....
  18. no, through HFF, reefs the importer, and dealt directly with me to remedy the faults.
  19. Two expensive pieces of equipment on my new tank packed up within a few weeks of setting them up out of the box. In both cases i've been delighted in the manner which the importers have honoured the warranties. 1). The aquamedic monster chiller unit stopped working. Jetski was the supplier, and on his word i sent to a local refrigeration company in Kerikeri, who refilled it with gas, fitted a proper valve to it (previously just crimped), pressure tested it etc. All these costs were totally covered with out hesitation. Thanks Steve. 2). Both my new 6200 streams packed up within 3-4 weeks of setting them up. Tunze admitted a fault with a bad batch of plastic. The importer is reef, whom I haven't always seen eye to eye with (yes I know, somewhat of an understatement.). I contacted Reef, and not only were both pumps replaced by new ones ex germany, but reef supplied me with brand new 6100s to cover in the interim period while the new ones got here. Better still, one of the new ones is the next model, the electronic controllable streams, which don't have the seperate driver box, and have a square transformer that also allows battery backup. Appreciate it Alois. It shows the benefit of buying local, and although I paid a bit more for the streams than some overseas internet sites, imagine the differculties I would have had given the above situation.
  20. Cookie is right, they are a natural part of the tank, and if you have nutrients etc under control they wont be a problem. They wont crash your tank, the chemicals your putting in will. Do some reading on the net, they're harmless.
