  2. Ok thanks .Is brineshimp ok for <5 mm fry?
  3. Hello I've got a few questions today. I've been keeping chocolate australe and gardneri p82 for a while and would like to breed them. If they lay eggs could they survive with the parents? If I don't want to hatch them straight away can I just put the eggs in a dry container? Is there a dry food that is ok for <5mm fry ? Would jbl novotom be ok for 5mm to 10mm fry? Would jbl novobea be ok for 10mm to 30mm fry?
  4. I don't think you should get Nothobranchius as they die after a year or so and get velvet very easily. You said you like gold panchax and straiutum which are good starter killifish.Gold panchax can live for four years which is a long time for killies and I recommend you get them.
  5. Straitum are much more peaceful than gold panchax and gold panchax are more jumpy.
  6. Rodney fletcher for both species. He is Rodneys tropicals on face book or pauljones on trademe.
  7. There is Hollywood fish farm.
  8. Also do you intend to breed them or just display them?
  9. Here's a list of some we get here : Aphyosemion australe - lyre tail killifish http://www.seriouslyfish.com/species/ap ... -australe/ Aphyosemion straitum - straitum killi fish http://www.seriouslyfish.com/species/ap ... -striatum/ Aplocheilus Lineatus - Gold panchax http://animal-world.com/encyclo/fresh/K ... lifish.php Epiplatys annulatus - clown killifish http://www.seriouslyfish.com/species/ep ... annulatus/ Fundolopanchax nigerianus - Gardneri p82 http://www.seriouslyfish.com/species/fu ... -gardneri/ Nothobranchius foerschi - foerschi killifish http://www.killi.co.uk/speciesProfile/N ... /foerschi/ Nothobranchius guentheri - guentheri killifish http://www.killi.co.uk/speciesProfile/N ... guentheri/ Nothobranchius palmqvisti - Palmqvisti's Killifish.http://www.killi.co.uk/speciesProfile/N ... almqvisti/

  12. The same thing happened to my silverdollar last week :dunno:
  13. I don't think they are around any more. Correct me if i'm wrong
  14. Hollywood fish farm had clown killifish.Pauljones on tm breeds killifish and he ships them. I have gardneri p82 and chocolate australe.Heres a thread of my gardneri tank viewtopic.php?f=15&t=66949 .They are awesome fish.
  15. Yoyo loaches may work depending on your tank size. Puffers are very nippy and bumblebees often starve as they need to have food put right infront of them.Bumblebees will only thrive in brackish water. You could try squishing the snails and feeding them to the other fish.
  16. No the heaters aren't calibrated. How do you calibrate them? The 150w has been in the tank for 7 months and the 200w hasbeen in there since the tank got set up (3 years). shall I turn it down to 23c and see if it's around 26 in the morning?
  17. I did 3 water changes last week. I have an air pump. My eheim jager heaters 150w set at 22c 200w set at 26c The thermometer says the water is at 29c that doesn't seem right?
  18. The little one recovered well after the water change.
  19. Did a big water change. Now the little male is doimg the same thing. Looks like I'll only have female's in the morning :an!gry
